As a Security Officer Patrol Access Screening in Bronx, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and support access awareness through strong customer service and communication. You will be part of a team that values reliability, agility, innovation, and integrity while putting people first in a caring, collaborative environment.

Requirements

Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

A guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a government location serving the public.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through proper channels when needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including interior areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter points, noting unusual conditions and/or unauthorized activity.
Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry by observing visitor activity, verifying permissions when required, and reporting concerns to site leadership.
Prepare clear, timely reports of incidents, patrol findings, and/or noteworthy activity, and communicate professionally with staff, visitors, and public agency representatives.
