Great Opportunity! Full Time Security Officers! Working in conjunction with a Metropolitan Transit Task Force and our client security teams. MetroLink security professionals provide safety and security of riders on the transit light rail system, station platforms throughout the Greater St. Louis region. Customer service skills are a high priority. This is an outdoor posted position. Duties will include post security until relieved.

Requirements

  • 1 year Security Experience
  • Computer Literacy
  • Have at least 1+ years of security experience.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to Lift 20+ Pounds
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Being able to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff and visitors at a government location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas, including parking areas and perimeter routes, to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points and observe for unusual conditions, reporting concerns according to site procedures and Allied Universal guidelines.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications and documenting actions taken.
  • Complete routine reports and incident documentation, and communicate relevant information to site contacts, public agency partners, and/or Allied Universal supervision as needed.
