Now Hiring Full Time Security Officers! Working in conjunction with a Metropolitan Transit Task Force and our client security teams. MetroLink security professionals provide safety and security of riders on the transit light rail system, station platforms throughout the Greater St. Louis region. Customer service skills are a high priority. This is an outdoor posted position. Duties will include post security until relieved.

Requirements

  • Ability to Lift 20+ Pounds
  • 1 year Security Experience
  • Computer Literacy
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points, noting unusual conditions and reporting them per post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with access control issues, disturbances, and/or requests for assistance.
  • Complete security-related reports and logs, including patrol activity, incident documentation, and communication of key information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
  • Help to maintain order at entrances and key areas by monitoring for policy violations, assisting with directions, and coordinating with local responders and/or on-site personnel when needed.
