Job Description As a Security Officer - Government Center - Full Time in Brooklyn, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an unarmed patrol professional with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned government locations, remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents and provide outstanding service. You will conduct routine patrols, interact with the public, and deliver clear communication while supporting a welcoming environment. Requirements
- A valid New York State Security Guard License is required.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
- Monitor for any unusual activity and report findings according to Allied Universal procedures.
- Assist visitors and employees as needed, offering directions and information while maintaining a professional presence.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency responders as needed during incidents.
- Complete detailed and accurate incident reports and daily activity logs as required by Allied Universal and site-specific guidelines.
