Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer supporting a healthcare location where you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor activity, and maintain accurate logs and reports. You will conduct routine rounds of assigned areas, stay highly visible to help reduce incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service through clear communication with staff, visitors, and patients. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, patients, visitors, and staff by following Allied Universal post orders, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Control access to the location by verifying identification, issuing temporary credentials, and directing authorized persons to the appropriate destinations.
Screen and process visitors, vendors, and contractors, including sign-in procedures, appointment verification, and visitor escort coordination as required by site policy.
Monitor entrances, lobbies, and access points to help to deter unauthorized entry, theft, and/or disruptive behavior.
Operate access control systems, cameras, radios, and other security-related equipment, and report maintenance or system issues per procedure.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical alerts, disturbances, missing persons, and/or suspicious activity, and notify the appropriate parties.
Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas, including parking areas and perimeter points, while checking doors, gates, and restricted areas for irregularities.
Complete accurate logs and incident reports, documenting access activity, unusual conditions, and actions taken in accordance with site requirements.
Support patient privacy and confidentiality by limiting access to restricted treatment and/or administrative areas according to site policy.
Coordinate with clinical staff, facilities, and local emergency services as directed during alarms, evacuations, and/or other emergency events.
