About The Position

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a leading tech, media, and telecom location, you will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and support access control and badge activity. This is a driving post, so you will use a vehicle to cover assigned areas, respond to calls for assistance, and provide a welcoming customer service presence while communicating clearly with onsite teams.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a tech and/or telecom location.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter access points; document observations and report concerns.
  • Monitor access control points and building activity, verify credentials as required, and help to deter unauthorized entry by maintaining a visible presence and following post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; provide assistance, notifications, and coordination with site contacts and/or public responders as needed.
  • Complete timely reports, logs, and incident documentation; communicate security-related information to leadership and/or the site team using approved tools and radio procedures.
