Job Description As a Security Officer - Overnight in Woodstock, IL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to concerns, document activity, and deliver strong customer service through clear communication with staff, patients, and visitors. Requirements

  • Have 6+ months of security experience.
  • A guard card/license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and promptly notifying site leadership and/or emergency services as directed by post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of interior areas such as corridors, lobbies, and common spaces and exterior perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
  • Control access by monitoring entrances, verifying identification or authorization as required, and directing visitors to appropriate check-in points while maintaining professional communication.
  • Complete routine reports and incident documentation, communicate observations to Allied Universal supervision and/or the client as required, and support special instructions such as monitoring restricted areas and responding to alarms.
