Job Description As a Airport Traffic Control Officer in Honolulu, HI , you will serve and safeguard the airport, its facilities, travelers, directing and managing flow of traffic, enforcing security protocals and procedures helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for all visitors and staff. Your presence and routine patrols will support a secure environment while you provide outstanding customer service and clear communication. Requirements

• 20+ Years of Age
• Valid Drivers License
• Ability to use computers - basic computer knowledge
• Ability to pass a background check, drug screen, and physical exam
• Be at least 21 years of age for unarmed roles; 22+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Being able to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Having customer service experience is preferred.
• Having a guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees and/or travelers while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of terminals, parking areas, roadways and/or perimeter areas; working environments and conditions may vary by assignment.
• Support access control by monitoring entry points, verifying credentials when directed, and/or guiding people through controlled areas in accordance with post orders.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation, coordinating with site authorities and/or requesting additional resources as needed.
• Complete patrol logs, incident reports and other required documentation accurately and in a timely manner, and communicate observations that may help to deter unwanted activity.
