Job Description As a Security Guard - Unarmed School Patrol Full-Time in Philadelphia, PA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in an education-focused location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help to deter security-related incidents and maintain a welcoming atmosphere. By conducting routine patrols and staying visible, you will provide peace of mind to students, staff, and visitors, while delivering exceptional customer service and communication. Requirements

• At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, students, faculty, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the campus and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns to the appropriate Allied Universal personnel and/or client representatives.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized entry.
• Support emergency response efforts by following established protocols and cooperating with local law enforcement or emergency responders as directed.
• Complete required documentation and incident reports accurately and in a timely manner as part of daily activities.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter criminal activity and/or policy violations within the educational environment.
