This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license, supporting coverage across campus areas, access points, and parking locations. You will provide clear communication, courteous customer service, and timely reporting while working with a team that values agility, reliability, innovation, and integrity.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, campus policies, and post orders, and/or assisting with emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of academic buildings, residence areas, parking lots, and perimeter routes to help to deter unwanted activity and to identify hazards or policy violations.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation support and contacting campus officials and/or public emergency services as needed.
  • Monitor access points and common areas during patrols, report suspicious behavior, and complete security-related reports and logs with accurate, timely details.
  • Provide directions and general assistance, support crowd management for campus events, and assist with lost and found or property checks in accordance with site-specific guidelines.
