As an unarmed Patrol Officer at an education location, you will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents, support access control and ID badge activity, and assist students, staff, and visitors with clear communication and customer service. This is a driving post requiring a valid drivers license. You will represent Allied Universal with integrity, teamwork, and a caring, people-first approach while staying agile, reliable, and innovative.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be 21+ years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• A guard card and/or guard license is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a campus setting.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with access concerns, disputes, medical calls, and fire or weather-related alerts per site guidelines.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of academic buildings, residence areas, parking lots, and perimeter areas to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance and policy issues.
• Monitor access points and campus activity, verify identification and/or authorization when required, and report suspicious behavior or policy violations through the established chain of command.
• Complete required reports and logs, document incidents and observations, and communicate relevant information to supervisors and/or campus partners as needed.
