About The Position

As a Security Officer - Checkpoint Screening in Zionsville, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location as a Screener, where you will help support a secure operation by conducting security-related screening of people and packages, using X-ray equipment when assigned, verifying credentials, and reporting concerns. Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • X-ray screening experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Conduct entry screening for employees, visitors, and/or vendors, including verifying identification and credentials, reviewing access lists, and directing individuals to the proper check-in process.
  • Perform package, bag, and/or vehicle screening as assigned, operate screening equipment when applicable, and report prohibited items, access issues, and/or policy violations to site leadership.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with alarm response, reporting hazards, and coordinating with onsite personnel and/or local responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, dock zones, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized access, document observations, and complete required activity reports.
