You will conduct routine interior and exterior patrols, stay highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and respond to needs with calm, respectful communication. You will document observations, escalate concerns, and partner with site teams to support a welcoming environment. Requirements

Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
Have 1+ years of security-related experience.
Be 21+ years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to residents, guests, staff, and/or service providers by following site-specific procedures, access guidelines, and security-related policies, and by supporting emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond to incidents, disputes, medical calls, alarms, and/or other critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and request assistance from management and/or emergency services as needed.
Conduct regular and random foot patrols of residential and shelter areas, including common spaces, entrances, stairwells, perimeters, and parking areas when applicable, to help identify unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy violations.
Monitor entry points and visitor activity as assigned, verify identification and/or authorization, maintain sign-in and key control processes when applicable, and help direct individuals to the appropriate resources or staff.
Complete detailed reports and logs on patrol activity, incidents, and/or resident interactions, communicate observations to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision, and support follow-up actions per post orders.
