Job Description As a Security Officer Rounds Specialist in NEW YORK, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, perform routine rounds, and remain a visible presence to help discourage security-related incidents. You will support access awareness, assist visitors and staff with professionalism, and deliver strong communication and customer service. Requirements

  • Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, residents, staff, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns through appropriate channels.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, surrounding grounds, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify access permissions, and assist with visitor processing in accordance with site rules and post orders.
  • Support staff and the public with de-escalation, directional assistance, and general information while maintaining a professional presence and following Allied Universal standards.
