Job Description As a Security Officer Rounds Specialist in NEW YORK, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, perform routine rounds, and remain a visible presence to help discourage security-related incidents. You will support access awareness, assist visitors and staff with professionalism, and deliver strong communication and customer service. Requirements

Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
A guard card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, residents, staff, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns through appropriate channels.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, surrounding grounds, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
Monitor entry and exit points, verify access permissions, and assist with visitor processing in accordance with site rules and post orders.
Support staff and the public with de-escalation, directional assistance, and general information while maintaining a professional presence and following Allied Universal standards.
