About The Position

As a Security Officer Metropolitan Patrol in Long Island City, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a residential location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents. Requirements

A New York State Security Guard License is required.
At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to residents, guests, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a residential location.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating relevant details to supervisors and/or local contacts.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout residential buildings, common areas, entrances, exits, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and/or maintenance-related concerns.
Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site-specific protocols, helping to support authorized entry and orderly movement throughout the property.
Assist with reporting hazards, policy violations, and/or suspicious behavior while maintaining a professional presence and providing courteous support to residents and visitors.
