About The Position

As a Security Officer - Hospital Site - Full Time in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a busy healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will support access control and badge processes, assist staff, patients, and visitors with clear communication, and document observations with professionalism. Requirements

  • Have at least 2+ years of security experience.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
  • CPR Certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical alerts, disruptive behavior, and/or access control concerns, and notify appropriate personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of corridors, common areas, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
  • Help to deter unauthorized access by monitoring doors, visitor flow, and restricted areas, and documenting and reporting unusual activity per post orders.
  • Complete detailed incident reports, patrol logs, and other documentation, and communicate observations and/or concerns to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
