Job Description As a Security Officer - Wellness Center in Queens, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a healthcare location, you will conduct routine rounds throughout the property, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support staff, patients, and visitors with clear communication and service. You will document observations, respond to requests, and report concerns with professionalism. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, patients, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout the healthcare location, including entrances, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points by observing traffic flow, assisting with visitor check-in directions, and reporting suspicious behavior and/or unsecured doors.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, medical emergencies, and/or fire and alarm activations, and coordinate notification to site leadership and emergency services as directed.
  • Document incidents, observations, and patrol activity in written reports and/or electronic logs, and communicate security-related concerns to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
