As a Security Officer Welcome Desk in Deland, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service at the front desk by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, visitor reception duties, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Monitor lobby and entrance activity, verify identification and/or visitor credentials, issue access badges when required, and document guest arrivals in accordance with site protocols.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with staff, visitors, and/or emergency personnel as needed.
  • Answer questions, provide directions, and support a professional front desk presence while helping to deter unauthorized access and/or disruptions at the location.
  • Complete reports, logs, and other assigned documentation related to incidents, visitor activity, and daily front desk operations.
