About The Position

As an unarmed, driving patrol officer with Allied Universal at a retail location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support access control as needed. You will document observations using a computer or tablet and provide professional customer service and clear communication. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting actions taken per site requirements.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the location, including interior areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter checks as assigned.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas for unusual activity, helping to deter unauthorized access and/or property loss.
  • Communicate with onsite personnel and/or dispatch as needed regarding security-related concerns, hazards, and/or maintenance issues observed during patrols.
