About The Position

As a Security Officer - Warehouse in Elkridge, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a fast-paced tech and media location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to alarms and access concerns as needed. You will deliver excellent customer service, clear communication, and accurate reporting while supporting a team that is agile, reliable, innovative, caring, and committed to integrity.

Requirements

  • Applicants must have 1+ years' armed security, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • Applicants must be 21+ years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, employees, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and post orders at a tech-focused location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas, including entrances, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter routes, helping to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access points and verify credentials as required, assist with visitor management, and report unusual conditions such as open doors, propped doors, and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site representatives and/or public emergency services when directed by procedures.
  • Complete timely written reports and logs of patrol activity, access control actions, and incident response, and communicate shift updates to oncoming personnel.
