About The Position

As a Screener at a fast-paced tech and media location, you will welcome employees and visitors, support access control and badge checks, and conduct routine screening while maintaining a highly visible presence. You will monitor assigned areas, document security-related activity, and communicate clearly with site teams to help identify and de-escalate issues. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, vendors, and personnel by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology location.
  • Screen people and property at designated entry points by verifying identification, confirming authorization, monitoring access control systems, and inspecting bags, packages, and deliveries per site requirements.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications, documenting actions taken, and coordinating with site contacts and/or first responders as directed.
  • Conduct routine observation of screening areas, lobbies, and nearby corridors to help to deter unauthorized access and/or policy violations, and report suspicious activity through the established chain of command.
  • Complete required documentation such as visitor logs, incident reports, and shift activity reports, and communicate relevant updates during shift turnovers.
