As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will conduct routine foot and/or vehicle patrols, stay highly visible, and help to deter security-related incidents. You will monitor activity, respond to calls for assistance, document observations, and communicate clearly with team members and site contacts. Requirements

Have at least 1+ years of security experience.
A guard card/license is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the distribution facility, warehouse areas, trailer yards, parking areas, and the perimeter.
Working environments and conditions may vary by location.
Perform access control duties for employees, visitors, and drivers, including verifying identification and documenting entries and exits per site procedures.
Monitor inbound and outbound vehicle traffic at gates and/or checkpoints, helping to maintain orderly flow for deliveries, pickups, and shift changes.
Complete routine inspections of doors, docks, fencing, and lighting, and report maintenance concerns and/or suspicious conditions per post orders.
Use a computer and/or mobile device to complete shift activity reports, incident reports, and required logs with accurate, timely details.
Observe for unusual activity, hazards, and policy violations, and take appropriate action within post guidelines to help to deter loss and/or damage.
Coordinate with site leadership and Allied Universal supervision regarding incidents, requests for assistance, and changes in site conditions.
Support emergency and evacuation procedures when needed, including directing people to designated areas and communicating updates to responding personnel.
