As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a busy retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, perform routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will greet shoppers and team members, assist with directions and questions, and communicate concerns promptly. Bring an agile, reliable mindset, support your teammates, and act with integrity while helping maintain an orderly shopping environment.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities within a retail shopping location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site leadership and/or public emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the sales floor, entrances, receiving areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter theft, vandalism, and other unwanted activity.
• Monitor and report suspicious behavior, policy violations, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel, completing required reports and documentation.
• Support store operations by assisting with access control, crowd and line management, and de-escalation of customer and/or guest conflicts while maintaining a professional presence.
