As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a residential location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will respond to concerns, document observations, and communicate clearly with residents, guests, and site contacts while delivering a welcoming customer service experience. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, and/or property staff by following site-specific security-related procedures, access control requirements, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of residential buildings, common areas, amenities, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance and/or security-related concerns.
  • Respond to alarms, disturbances, and resident concerns in a calm, problem-solving manner; request assistance from property management and/or public responders when needed.
  • Monitor and document access points, deliveries, and contractor activity as assigned; verify credentials and direct visitors to appropriate locations per post orders.
  • Complete timely written and/or electronic reports on incidents, patrol findings, and unusual activity; communicate relevant security-related information during shift turnovers.
