You will monitor entrances, manage visitor and badge access, complete security-related logs, and conduct routine patrols to help to deter unwanted activity. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
Access control/badge experience is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to personnel, drivers, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
Control access at entry and exit points by verifying identification, confirming authorization, and directing individuals to the appropriate check-in process.
Screen vehicles, trailers, and deliveries as required by post orders, including checking seals, documentation, and load status while supporting shipping and receiving workflows.
Maintain visitor, contractor, and driver logs using approved systems and/or written records, and communicate arrival and departure information to site contacts.
Monitor cameras, alarms, and access control systems to help identify unusual activity and report concerns per site procedures.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site leadership and emergency services when directed by post orders.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility, yard, dock areas, and perimeter to help identify hazards, unsecured doors, and unusual conditions, and report findings per policy.
Write timely reports of daily activities, incidents, and policy exceptions, and submit required documentation to Allied Universal and site management.
Support traffic control and staging at gates and/or yard areas by guiding vehicles to designated routes, parking areas, and check-in points while following site procedures.
Assist with key, badge, and credential accountability processes as assigned, including tracking issuance and return per site policy.
