As an Allied Universal Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will manage access control at entry points by verifying badges, supporting visitor check-in, and documenting activity. You will conduct routine patrols and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents while delivering strong customer service and clear communication to drivers and team members. Requirements

  • Have 1+ years of security experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients at a logistics and distribution location by following site-specific access control procedures, policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Control entry and exit at gates and/or lobby points by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, and maintaining access logs for employees, visitors, and vendors.
  • Monitor cameras, alarms, and other access control systems; report irregular activity and escalate concerns according to post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications and completing incident documentation.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, dock areas, parking lots, and perimeter areas as permitted by the post, with working environments and conditions varying by site.
