Join Allied Universal at a busy manufacturing and industrial location as an Access Control Officer, where you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, and support visitor and employee check-in. You will conduct routine patrols around assigned areas, stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and communicate clearly with site teams and guests. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a manufacturing location.
  • Control access at designated entry points by checking identification, verifying authorization, issuing temporary badges, and maintaining visitor and contractor logs.
  • Support shipping and receiving access control by verifying driver credentials and delivery or pickup documentation, directing vehicles to appropriate staging areas, and documenting gate activity per site policy.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, completing required notifications and written reports.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, warehouses, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to identify unusual activity and/or policy concerns; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
