About The Position

As a Security Officer - Visitor Screening in Boise, ID, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Screener in a dynamic tech location, where you will monitor entry activity, support access screening procedures, and assist with routine patrols of assigned areas. You will remain visible to help deter security-related incidents while delivering outstanding customer service and communication. Guided by our agile, reliable, and innovative approach, you will work as part of a caring team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, access control practices, and/or emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
  • Screen employees, visitors, and/or contractors entering the location by verifying credentials, following entry requirements, and documenting security-related activity as needed.
  • Respond to incidents, concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership when appropriate.
  • Monitor assigned entry points and help to deter unauthorized access by observing activity, addressing irregularities, and following post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, remaining aware that working environments and conditions may vary by location.
