As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a commercial real estate location, you will help manage entry points, greet tenants and visitors, verify credentials, and maintain clear visitor and delivery logs. You will conduct routine patrols of common areas, remain highly visible to help discourage security-related issues, and communicate concerns promptly to the team. Requirements

• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Must possess a guard card.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors, and property staff by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Control access to the property by monitoring entry and exit points, verifying credentials, issuing visitor passes, maintaining access logs, and directing deliveries to designated areas.
• Monitor alarms, cameras, and building systems as assigned, and report suspicious activity, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns to property management and/or appropriate responders.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation, documentation, and timely notification to on-site contacts and/or emergency services.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and support a professional environment.
