You will help manage access control, verify credentials, issue badges, monitor activity from a stationary post, and respond to security-related concerns with clear communication and customer service. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, employees, and visitors by following Allied Universal post orders, site-specific policies, and assigned security-related procedures.
  • Staff the front desk area, greet and direct visitors, and help manage lobby flow in a professional manner.
  • Verify identity and authorization for entry, issue visitor credentials as directed, and help maintain accurate visitor logs.
  • Answer and route phone calls, respond to inquiries, and communicate site information to appropriate contacts.
  • Monitor access points, cameras, alarms, and/or other building systems from the front desk and report irregular activity.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying site contacts and emergency services as directed.
  • Complete required documentation such as incident reports, daily activity logs, and shift handoff notes with clear, timely details.
  • Support information and asset protection practices by observing for suspicious behavior and reporting concerns through the proper channels.
  • Coordinate with on-site teams such as facilities, IT, and management to support security-related needs for a technology and communications location.
  • Participate in required training and follow Allied Universal standards for professionalism, appearance, and customer service.
