About The Position

As a Security Officer - Visitor Management Desk in Phoenix, AZ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As a Front Desk Officer with Allied Universal, you will welcome visitors, manage access control and badging, monitor alarms and cameras, and document incidents while supporting a professional lobby experience. You will collaborate with onsite teams, communicate clearly, and help maintain a strong security-related presence through attentive observation and service. Requirements

  • Have 2 or more years of security-related experience.
  • Be 21 or more years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, employees, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor the front desk area, greet and direct visitors, and support visitor management processes including check-in and/or badge issuance.
  • Answer and route incoming phone calls and inquiries, providing clear information and escalating concerns per site-specific policies.
  • Help to control access by verifying identification and/or authorization for entry, and documenting arrivals and departures as required.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate updates to Allied Universal leadership and/or site contacts.
  • Complete required reports such as incident reports, shift logs, and visitor logs in a timely manner, following site-specific documentation standards.
  • Observe for unusual activity at the front desk and surrounding lobby area and report concerns according to site-specific policies.
  • Support coordination with building management and/or local responders during medical, fire, and/or other emergency events, as directed by site procedures.
