About The Position

As a Security Officer - Bank Visitor Desk in Tempe, AZ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. Requirements

  • Have 1+ years' law enforcement experience or 2+ years' security supervisor/manager experience or 3+ years' security experience.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Be comfortable using computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors at the front desk by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a financial institution location.
  • Control access at the front desk by greeting visitors, verifying identification and/or authorization, issuing visitor credentials, and directing guests to the appropriate area per site procedures.
  • Monitor security-related systems and front lobby activity, document observations, and communicate concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications and coordinating with local responders when needed.
  • Maintain accurate logs and reports, including visitor entries, deliveries, key control activity, incident details, and other required documentation.
  • Assist with screening and handling of packages, deliveries, and service vendors according to site policies, escalating prohibited items and/or suspicious activity as required.
  • Support client service needs by answering phones, routing calls, providing basic directions, and maintaining professional conduct consistent with site standards.
  • Participate in briefings and complete required training, following post orders and reporting changes in conditions to supervisors in a timely manner.
