As an Allied Universal Officer supporting access control at a fast-paced food and beverage location, you will greet employees and visitors, verify credentials, issue badges, and manage entry points using computer or tablet systems. You will conduct routine patrols and remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents, while providing clear communication and customer service. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR/First Aid is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control/badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, contractors, drivers, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Operate access control at entry points by checking identification, verifying authorization, issuing visitor credentials, and directing arrivals to designated areas in accordance with site requirements.
  • Monitor inbound and outbound vehicle and pedestrian traffic, coordinate with receiving and shipping staff as needed, and help to maintain orderly flow at gates, docks, and other controlled entrances.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site leadership and/or emergency services when appropriate and completing required notifications.
  • Complete detailed activity and incident reports, document access control actions, and communicate shift updates to the oncoming team to support consistent security-related operations.
