As an Access Control Officer at a dynamic tech, media, and telecom location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, support visitor and badge processes, and monitor alarms and cameras. You will be a visible, customer-focused presence, document security-related activity, and communicate clearly with onsite teams. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license under AU Driver Policy Requirements, supporting Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, and innovative, people-first culture.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification preferred.
  • Customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, guests, and employees by following Allied Universal post orders, site-specific policies, and approved emergency response procedures at a technology and communications location.
  • Manage access control by verifying identification, issuing and collecting visitor credentials, directing visitors to approved check-in areas, and documenting entries and exits according to site requirements.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, and other access control systems, reporting irregular activity and completing required logs and incident documentation.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to appropriate contacts and public responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior spaces, entrances, loading areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and other security-related concerns.
