As an Allied Universal Security Officer at a busy manufacturing and industrial location, you will support access control by verifying credentials, managing visitor and contractor check-in, and monitoring entry points to help identify unusual activity. You will complete routine patrols and clear reports, deliver strong customer service, and communicate with site teams to support smooth operations. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license under AU Driver Policy Requirements.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by following site-specific access control procedures, checking identification, issuing badges, and documenting entries and exits at a manufacturing location.
  • Monitor access points, alarms, and surveillance systems as assigned, reporting unusual activity and maintaining accurate security-related logs and reports.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating site emergency response activities when appropriate and notifying the proper contacts.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, warehouses, offices, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Coordinate with site management, contractors, and delivery drivers to verify appointments, manage visitor traffic, and support compliance with facility rules and security-related procedures.
