Job Description As a Security Officer - Vehicle Patrol in Kihei, HI , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer supporting a commercial real estate location. You will conduct routine foot and/or vehicle patrols, remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and document observations with clear, professional communication. You will also assist tenants, visitors, and property staff with customer-focused service, while living our values of being agile, reliable, and innovative, and delivering through teamwork with integrity.

Requirements

  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and contractors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout commercial property buildings, common areas, parking areas, loading areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and property activity, verify identification and/or authorization when required, and assist with visitor management in accordance with post orders.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; request assistance from on-site personnel and/or local emergency services when appropriate.
  • Complete detailed shift documentation including patrol logs, incident reports, and maintenance and/or hazard notifications for property management follow-up.
