Job Description As a Security Officer - Vehicle Patrol Driver in Mount Vernon, IN , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will communicate clearly, provide customer service, and document observations to support site operations. This is a driving post, so a valid drivers license is required. At Allied Universal, you will act with integrity and deliver through teamwork.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a chemical manufacturing location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting hazards, process area concerns, and/or suspicious activity to site leadership per post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of production areas, tank farms, warehouses, and perimeter lines to help to deter unauthorized activity and to identify security-related concerns.
  • Control access at designated entry points by verifying credentials, directing deliveries to approved locations, and logging visitor, vendor, and contractor activity per site requirements.
  • Complete routine documentation such as patrol logs, incident reports, and shift turnover notes, and communicate status updates to supervision and/or site contacts as needed.
