As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor assigned areas, complete routine mobile and foot patrols, and stay highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will respond to alarms, support access control and badge checks, and document activity using a computer and/or tablet. Requirements

  • Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working a primarily driving post is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to onsite personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response protocols at a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site operations and/or local responders as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of production areas, tank farms, warehouses, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
  • Control access at gates and designated entry points by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, managing sign-in and/or sign-out logs, and directing traffic in accordance with site requirements.
  • Complete detailed written and/or electronic reports, document observations and incident details, and communicate updates to supervision and onsite contacts during shift turnovers.
