About The Position

As a Security Officer - Gatehouse Driver in Monmouth, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a busy food and beverage location, you will help manage entry points by checking credentials, directing visitors and deliveries, and documenting activity while maintaining a visible presence. You will communicate clearly with staff and guests, respond to security-related concerns, and support a secure operation through teamwork and integrity. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license in the job state.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to site personnel, contractors, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Staff access control points to verify identification, issue and/or collect badges, manage visitor check-in and check-out, and maintain access logs in accordance with location requirements.
• Monitor and control vehicle and delivery access at entrances and/or gates, confirm shipping and receiving documentation when applicable, and direct drivers to designated areas.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting actions taken and notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility, production-adjacent areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and report unusual conditions per site procedures.
