About The Position

As a Security Officer - Vehicle Patrol Driver in Sulphur, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a chemical and petrochemical location, where you will spend much of your shift driving and conducting routine patrols to help identify unusual activity and support site procedures. You will stay highly visible, respond to security-related incidents, and deliver clear, professional communication and customer service to employees and visitors. Bring a valid driver’s license and a team-first mindset grounded in integrity, reliability, and innovation.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical or petrochemical location.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, production areas, loading areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and verify identification, visitor logs, and/or delivery documentation; help to maintain orderly entry and exit of personnel, contractors, and vendors.
  • Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, requesting assistance from site contacts and/or public emergency services as needed.
  • Complete detailed reports of incidents, patrol observations, and policy violations, and communicate timely updates to Allied Universal supervision and site management.
