About The Position

As a Security Officer - Driver Route Patrol in Chillicothe, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to concerns, document observations, and provide professional customer service through clear communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license in the job state, supporting an agile, reliable, and innovative team that leads with integrity.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following post orders, access control procedures, and other site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, warehouses, parking lots, and perimeter fencing to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or hazardous conditions, and document observations per procedure.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site leadership and/or public emergency services as directed.
  • Monitor entry and exit points for employees, contractors, and deliveries, verifying identification and/or authorization and maintaining required logs and reports.
  • Complete routine security-related reports, incident documentation, and shift pass-downs, and communicate notable activity to the Allied Universal supervisor and/or site representatives.
