Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will be a helpful point of contact for visitors and staff, communicating clearly and documenting key observations. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license. Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 or more years of security-related experience is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Applicants must be 21 or more years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and vendors at a government healthcare location by following Allied Universal post orders, site-specific policies, and assigned security-related procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior; working environments and conditions may vary by assignment.
  • Monitor access points and respond to alarms, calls for service, and other security-related concerns, using a calm, problem-solving approach and contacting site leadership and/or emergency services when required.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations by assessing the scene, de-escalating when appropriate, and documenting actions taken in accordance with post orders and local requirements.
  • Complete required reports, logs, and shift pass-downs, including incident documentation and patrol activity records, and communicate observations to the appropriate personnel.
