About The Position

As a Security Officer - Vehicle Patrol Driver in Fredericksburg, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an unarmed, driving patrol officer at a government location, you will巡 conduct routine patrols of assigned areas, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support access control and badge procedures as needed. You will respond to reports, document activities, and deliver customer-focused service through clear communication. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
  • Customer Service Experience is preferred.
  • CPR Certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients at a government location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
  • Monitor access points and observe for unusual conditions; verify identification and/or credentials per site policy and document activity as required.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, providing timely notifications to site representatives and/or emergency services as directed.
  • Complete routine reports and incident documentation, communicate post updates during shift turnover, and assist with traffic and/or pedestrian control as assigned.
