About The Position

As a Security Officer - Vehicle Patrol Unit in Cambridge, MA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Requirements

  • Have 1+ years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare location.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior corridors, clinical and administrative areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify hazards.
  • Monitor access points and visitor flow, verify identification and/or authorization as required, and assist with directing individuals to appropriate departments or waiting areas.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or medical emergencies in a calm, problem-solving manner, requesting additional resources when needed and helping to maintain order until responders arrive.
  • Complete accurate reports and logs, communicate pertinent information during shift turnover, and notify site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision of unusual events, maintenance issues, and policy concerns.
