Join Allied Universal as an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy healthcare location, where you will conduct routine rounds, maintain a highly visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and support staff, patients, and visitors with professional customer service and clear communication. Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify hazards or maintenance issues for reporting.
  • Monitor access points and help manage visitor flow, verifying identification and/or authorization as required by site procedures while maintaining a professional presence.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and coordinating with clinical staff and/or local responders as needed.
  • Document and report security-related incidents, patrol observations, and policy violations using required logs and/or reporting systems, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
