About The Position

As a Security Officer - Vehicle Patrol Driver in HUNTINGTON , WV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas while remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. This is a driving post, so a valid driver’s license is required. You will conduct routine mobile patrols, respond to calls for service, document observations, and provide clear communication and customer service. Requirements

  • Valid Driver's License with a least 1 year of driving experience
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas, tank farms, loading or unloading areas, parking lots, and perimeter lines to help to identify unusual activity and/or hazardous conditions for reporting.
  • Control access at designated points by verifying identification, logging visitors and deliveries, issuing temporary credentials as directed, and directing traffic and/or parking to support site operations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications, assisting with evacuations as directed, and documenting actions taken.
  • Complete shift logs and incident reports, monitor alarms and/or CCTV when assigned, and communicate observations to site management and Allied Universal supervision.
