About The Position

As a Security Officer - Vehicle Patrol Driver in Albuquerque, NM, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal at a leading tech and media campus where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support access control and visitor badge procedures, communicate clearly with employees and partners, and deliver customer service that reflects our caring culture. This is a driving post, so a valid driver’s license is required.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 6+ months of security-related experience is required.
  • Applicants must be 21+ years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to individuals at a technology and media production location by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting observations and reporting concerns to site leadership and/or emergency responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of studios, offices, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity by checking credentials, observing entry and exit activity, and directing guests, vendors, and employees according to site procedures.
  • Complete shift activity reports and incident reports, participate in required briefings, and communicate via radio and/or phone to support consistent security-related coverage.
