Job Description As a Security Officer - Vehicle Patrol Driver in LINCOLN, NE , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support staff, patients, and visitors with professional customer service and clear communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license, giving you variety across the site while you contribute to an agile, reliable, and integrity-driven team at Allied Universal.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and requesting additional support as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of corridors, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter, noting unusual activity and helping to deter unauthorized access.
  • Monitor access points and assist with visitor management and/or wayfinding as assigned, helping to maintain orderly flow through designated areas.
  • Complete required documentation such as patrol logs, incident reports, and shift activity reports, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
