As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will conduct routine mobile and on-foot patrols, complete detailed reports, and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. This is a driving post, so you will use a company vehicle to check assigned areas, respond to calls for service, and support staff and visitors with clear communication. Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Experience using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients at a government location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards or maintenance concerns.
  • Monitor access points and observe visitor and employee activity, verifying identification and/or authorizations as required by post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, providing assistance to staff and visitors and coordinating with appropriate responders when needed.
  • Document patrols, observations, and incidents in written reports and logs, and communicate relevant information to supervisors and site contacts.
