About The Position

As a Security Officer - Vehicle Patrol Driver in Port Arthur, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal at a chemical and petrochemical location as an unarmed patrol officer in a driving post. You will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support access control and visitor guidance. You will document observations, communicate clearly with onsite teams, and respond to issues with professionalism. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • A minimum of 1 year of security experience is required.
  • Applicants must be 21+ years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to site contacts and/or public responders as required.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, administrative spaces, parking areas, and the perimeter, noting unusual activity, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns and reporting them through approved channels.
  • Control access points by verifying identification and/or credentials, managing visitor entries, and directing traffic or deliveries per site procedures.
  • Complete security-related reports, patrol logs, and incident documentation, and communicate observations to supervision and site representatives during shift turnover.
